Morning Mottlecah

$515.00
Sold

Framed in Tasmanian oak float frame.

Acrylic paint on cradled birchwood panel, ready to hang. Signed on front.

44cm x 44cm x 5.5cm deep, including frame.

Price includes shipping Australia wide. **Surcharge may apply for remote destinations.

This still life captures the beautiful and majestic Eucalyptus Macrocarpa, which has come to stand as a symbol of Western Australia for me. One of my favourite local natives, these plants are so sculptural in their form, with hardy card like leaves, that look utterly mesmerising in their skeletal form, and ice cold colourings. It is set off here against a backdrop of violet and white stripes with a sepia toned vase, which casts some beautiful pinky tones into the background.
