Cooking with Kumquats

$1,600.00
Sold

SOLD VIA TOOWOOMBA GALLERY

Framed in Tasmanian oak float frame.

Acrylic paint on stretched canvas, ready to hang. Signed on front.

63cm h x 53cm w x 5.5cm deep, including frame.

Price includes free shipping Australia wide. International shipping available at a flat rate of $100 for this piece. This will be invoiced after the sale if applicable.

I was delighted to discover a kumquat tree in my friends new property, and knew without a doubt these delightful little citrus fruit would be making an appearance in my paintings in the future. Sure enough a short stint cat sitting coincided with the fruiting of their tree, and I helped myself to a generous bucket. We cooked up a feast of candied kumquats and kumquat jam, but not before getting a ton of inspiration to work from when I was back in the studio.

Featuring a duo of hand made ceramic plates from my favourite Australian ceramicist- Clay Beehive, this painting would be a beautiful addition to a kitchen or dining room space, with just the right amount of colour to liven things up.
