‘Wild Interiors’ features a book of the same name, and some foraged Eucalyptus flowers, on my signature round trivet. This scene particularly I see as a nod to my past, to my years spent working in Interior Design, and to the impact that has had on both my focus as an artist, and my practice.

The round trivet that features in so many of my paintings represents both the best and the worst of this past life. This was cut from a piece of stone that was discarded from a project gone wrong. A project which almost broke me, and doubtless planted the seeds of new beginning which eventually let to me taking up a paintbrush again, and realising a childhood dream. I find the memories and meaning derived from of objects an endlessly fascinating thing.
